Who is needed
Description
Duration of the project is 12 months Expected Starting Date: Immediate The United Nations System in Senegal has more than thirty agencies, funds and programs, some of which are regional or sub regional representations spanning several countries. The diversity of their mandates and expertise is conducive to inter-agency cooperation within the UN Country Team through the Resident Coordinator. The Information and Communication Specialist role is to contribute to the effectiveness, credibility and visibility of the United Nations actions in support of the implementation of the UNDAF, Agenda 2030 in relation to the key priorities and vision of development of Senegal through the “Plan Senegal Emergent” and the project "Maison ONU Afrique de l’Ouest - Diamniadio. He/she will participate in the development of interdisciplinary knowledge products and communication strategy, collaborate in the collection and analysis of information on strategic themes interdisciplinary development initiatives, while identifying opportunities for specific documentation and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned. S/he will work closely with the UNIC Regional Team.
