Description
This volunteer program is especially suitable for: - Volunteers Age 14+ of high school and University students coming for attachment and internship - Professionals in management, photography, administration, event management, team building, resource mobilization, etc - Volunteers coming as Couples to giving back to the community while on their honeymoon - volunteers coming as Families, we have family size accommodation - volunteers coming as Group for teamwork and mission trips to help the poor with shelter, food, and basic needs such as clothing donations - volunteers of 50+ years coming to give back to the community on their retirement - volunteers on Wheel Chairs, also have the opportunity to come and help We often struggle to run our programs and to raise funds from international donors. Many staff members are volunteers themselves and receive no or a very small salary. We urgently need support from our volunteers to work in funds-raising, proposal writing, organizational development, IT, administration, community development, reports, and case studies. It is also a great opportunity to meet people from around the world who constantly visit us, and exchange experiences. Your experience volunteering with us will not only allow you to positively impact the world, but you will also have the opportunity to become fully immersed in Kenyan culture. Currently, we have projects ongoing in Nairobi, as well as in both the Kibera and Mathare Slums, the counties of Kisii, Samburu, and Migori, etc. Typical day 1. Volunteer task We are committed to addressing poverty among disadvantaged households in slums and rural villages in Kenya, Africa. Volunteer with us, to positively impact underprivileged communities in Kenya as you will fully be immersed in Kenya's culture. We have ongoing environmental conservation and agricultural programs, that need more hands and ideas from volunteers like you, and as a nature lover, this is an opportunity to experience the Kenyan lifestyle through environmental conservation, climate change activities, and sustainable agricultural activities.
